It’s official: three Yakuza games will be leaving stores this month. If you were looking to buy Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2, this is your last chance to get them before the prices go above the ceiling when they get delisted. But that doesn’t mean these titles were forgotten! On the contrary, Sega is about to release new versions of all of them. But of course, they will cost more; this is why you shouldn’t miss the latest deal on the famous action series.
Yakuza will be delisted on 8 December 2025
In just a few days, all 3 games will no longer be available for purchase. The existing owners can still download and play them, as well as upgrade to a new version with a special bonus. Here are all the details about the promotion:
- Yakuza 0 owners can get the Director’s Cut version for only $14.99 (30% off the retail price) on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.
- Those who have Yakuza Kiwami will be able to upgrade for a significantly lower price of $1.99 (10% off) on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
- Finally, Yakuza Kiwami 2 comes as a free update on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
New Features

The other question is rising: if an enhanced version is going to see the light of day, what’s new? The most important feature is the localization, as all 3 games will now have text subtitles in these languages:
- French
- German
- Spanish
- Latin American Spanish
- Italian
- Brazilian Portuguese
- Russian
But the major changes concern Yakuza 0. Indeed, this game will receive a whole bunch of new content. Not only is it going to be fully dubbed in English, but the story will be expanded with more cinematic cutscenes. What’s more, players will engage in a brand new cooperative mode called Red Light Raid. Zero and Kiwami will also come with the original theme songs that were not previously included.
Important to note: the save progress will not carry over from the old version to new one. So, if you own one of the games and want to upgrade, you should definitely finish the story before.
Conclusion
Considering these changes, the prices set by Sega are reasonable. Yes, it became quite common to see some old titles leaving the market just in order to be replaced, but the fact that Yakuza is about to be delisted is surprising. First, they have been released not too long ago. And second, not all new features justify a paid upgrade. If you are not interested in new changes and want to experience the original games, then you should purchase the games before they disappear on 8 December 2025.
