Roblox has seen a lot of horror games come and go, but Bite by Night feels different. Launched on March 28, 2026 by developers OzelBlox and BlueRev, this new asymmetrical horror experience blends the world of Five Nights at Freddy’s with the survival mechanics of Dead by Daylight, and the community has been going wild since the moment servers went live. Before diving into what makes it tick, check out the official trailer below to get a feel for what you are getting into.
What Makes Bite by Night Different?
Most horror games on Roblox follow the same formula. Dark map, jump scares, done. Bite by Night does not do that.
The asymmetrical structure means every match plays out differently depending on who is the Killer and how the Survivors decide to approach their objectives. One match you are coordinating with your team, the next you are completely on your own trying not to make a sound.
It also features animatronics from both the official FNAF series and fan-made titles, which is something the community has been asking for a long time.
How Does a Match Actually Work?

As a Survivor your goal is to avoid the Killer and solve puzzles around the map. Each Survivor class has unique abilities to help the team. As the Killer your mission is simple: hunt down and eliminate every Survivor before they escape.
The tension of doing tasks while knowing someone is out there looking for you never really lets up. That is what makes the game stand out on Roblox, where most horror games feel shallow after the first few minutes.
Killers and Survivor Classes at Launch
Confirmed Killers at launch include Springtrap and The Mimic. Confirmed Survivor classes include the Fighter and the Healer. Each role plays very differently, so there is real variety depending on which side you end up on.
Ignited Bonnie is also confirmed as an upcoming Killer, a demonic version of Bonnie from The Joy of Creation series. The roster is already strong for day one and it is only going to grow.
Watch Out for Fake Games
This is important. There are already fake versions of Bite by Night on Roblox and they are easy to stumble into. The fake games load you into an idle queue screen and push paid gamepasses that do absolutely nothing. Make sure you are playing the real version by loading it from OzelBlox’s official Roblox page or from a trusted link.
Why Is Everyone Playing It Right Now?

Bite by Night came out at exactly the right time. The FNAF community on Roblox has been looking for a game with real depth and this one delivers. It is not just atmosphere and jump scares. The class system, the animatronic roster from both official and fan-made lore, and the asymmetrical structure all come together in a way that feels genuinely thought through.
The reception within hours of launch has been overwhelmingly positive, which for a game carrying this much pre-launch hype is no small thing. How it develops through updates will be the real test, but right now it is off to a great start.
If you have not played Bite by Night yet, now is the time. The servers are packed, everything is fresh, and nobody has figured out the best strategy yet. That window will not stay open for long.
I’m passionate about books and video games. These two great passions represent, for me, a boundless universe where I can “escape” from reality whenever I need or want to. There are so many stories, worlds, and landscapes where I can instantly teleport that I don’t think a whole lifetime would be enough to explore them all (though it would be my greatest dream to be able to).
