Last updated on October 26, 2026

Phantom Blade Zero is almost here. S-GAME’s dark wuxia action RPG launches on October 29, 2026 for PS5 and PC, after being pushed back from its original September date.

If you are planning to play it on PC, this guide covers the editions, the official prices, the system requirements and what to check before you grab a key for less.

In short

  • Release date: October 29, 2026
  • Platforms: PS5 and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). No Xbox version has been announced
  • Developer: S-GAME
  • Editions and official prices: Standard at $59.99 and Digital Deluxe at $69.99
  • Type of game: single-player action RPG with a dark wuxia setting

What Phantom Blade Zero is about

You play Soul, a warrior accused of killing his own master. He survives a wound that should have been fatal, but he only has 66 days left to live.

That countdown drives the whole story. You explore the Phantom World, a mix of martial arts fiction, fantasy and folk horror that the developers call “kungfupunk”, and you chase answers while the clock keeps ticking.

It is a single-player experience, so there is no online component to worry about.

What to expect from the combat

Combat is the main attraction. The game offers more than 30 main weapons and over 20 secondary weapons called Phantom Edges, plus upgrades, accessories, summons and customizable combat.

Donnie Yen worked as a creative consultant on the combat design, and he also lent his face and motion capture to Soul’s father, Mó Yuan.

Side quests can open different story paths, and there are hidden secrets to find along the way. If you like fast, stylish fights that reward good timing, this one is clearly aimed at you.

Editions and official prices

There are two editions on the official stores. The Standard Edition costs $59.99 and gives you the full game.

The Digital Deluxe Edition costs $69.99. It adds the Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form outfits, a digital artbook and the digital soundtrack.

Pre-orders also came with a Treasure Basin accessory, which raises the Remnant Dust drop rate by 10%, and the Legacy outfit. Both can reportedly be unlocked through normal progression too, and the Deluxe edition does not appear to lock any story or gameplay content behind it.

What you need on PC

The game runs on Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) with DirectX 12, 16 GB of RAM and an SSD, which is required.

For the minimum setup, aimed at 1080p and 30 FPS with upscaling, you need an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and a GeForce GTX 1660 (6 GB) or Radeon RX 5500 XT (8 GB).

The recommended setup, aimed at 1440p and 60 FPS with upscaling, asks for an Intel Core i5-10600K or Ryzen 5 5600X and a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or Radeon RX 6700 XT.

If you want ray tracing, the developer points to an RTX 5060 for 1080p at 60 FPS. Path tracing is a different story and calls for an RTX 5080.

What to look at when you buy a key

Buying a Steam key is a simple way to pay less than the official price, as long as you check a few details first.

Look at the region on the listing, because some keys only activate in certain areas. Check the seller’s rating too, since it tells you a lot about how smooth the purchase will be.

Also read what the edition includes. Pre-order bonuses are not guaranteed with every key, but some listings have the bonus in the title and usually cost only a little more.

There are no independent reviews yet, so if you prefer to wait and see how the game performs on PC, you can still compare prices in the meantime.

Where to find the key for less

Official stores are the right place if you want every pre-order perk guaranteed. If you just want to play and keep a few euros in your pocket, a key from a marketplace is worth a look.

For PC, you can check the current offers for the Standard Edition key or the Deluxe Edition key, since prices change from day to day.

Keys for a game that has not launched yet are delivered after release, usually within a few hours of launch.

Whichever way you go, compare a couple of offers before you pay, and enjoy your 66 days.
