Nintendoās March 2026 Indie World Showcase proved once again that smaller studios can easily steal the spotlight from big-budget releases. In just a few minutes, the presentation highlighted how fast Switch 2 is building a strong indie library, without turning its back on the original Switch. If you missed the stream, here is a clear, friendly recap of every game that appeared and when you can play it.
Denshattack
Denshattack, one of the standout indie hits with a train theme, is pulling into the Switch 2 station on 17 June 2026. The port arrives with a Nintendo-inspired exclusive skin, and the best part is that a free demo is already available to download starting today. It is the kind of fast, addictive game that grabs you āfor five minutesā and suddenly keeps you busy for the whole evening.
My Little Puppy
One of the most emotional moments of the showcase was My Little Puppy. Inspired by a real story, the game follows a dog who ends up in a ādog heavenā and sets off on a touching journey to save its owner in the afterlife. It launches on 29 May on Switch and looks like the sort of gentle adventure that will quietly test how resistant you are to tears.
Heave Ho 2
If the original Heave Ho ruined friendships in the best possible way, Heave Ho 2 aims to do the same on Switch 2 this summer. The sequel adds eight new worlds and, at long last, online co-op so you can shout at your friends from a safe distance instead of from the same couch. Expect chaotic platforming, failed grabs and a lot of laughter.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault brings shopkeeping and dungeon crawling back to Switch 2 later this year. The sequel promises more weapon types, expanded combos and generally āmore of everythingā that made the first game so popular. Already available on other platforms, this new version finally gives Nintendo players their turn with a polished, complete release.
Woodo
Woodo is a diorama-style puzzle game set in a miniature world made entirely of wood. Its charming visuals and calm atmosphere make it perfect for relaxed evenings when you want to solve clever puzzles without stress. The game is scheduled to arrive this summer on both Switch and Switch 2.
Minishoot Adventures

Minishoot Adventures is a love letter to the 8ābit era and classic shoot āem ups. It blends arcade-style action with exploration, giving you tight controls and that ājust one more runā feeling. Best of all, it lands on Switch and Switch 2 today, so genre fans can jump in right away.
The Midnight Walk
The Midnight Walk steps onto Switch 2 on 26 March. This indie horror title has already received praise on other platforms, and now new players will be able to discover why it generated so much buzz. Expect a moody, unsettling experience built around atmosphere and tension rather than cheap jumpscares.
Rotwood
Side-scrolling brawlers are back in style, and Rotwood wants a place among the favourites. With colourful 2.5D art and lively combat, it looks like a great fit for short but intense sessions on the go. The game launches exclusively on Switch 2 and, better yet, is available starting today.
Mixtape
After a quiet period with few updates, Mixtape finally returned with a release date: 7 May 2026. On the Nintendo side, the game is coming only to Switch 2, but it will also appear on other major platforms. It is a narrative adventure focused on teenage memories, choices and that unique energy of growing upāideal for players who love story-driven games.
Quick Highlights: Blighted, Deadzone: Rogue, Grave Seasons, Unrailed 2
The Indie World Showcase also included a short rapid-fire segment packed with interesting titles.
Blighted is a top-down adventure with western influences and is planned for an autumn release on Switch 2
Deadzone: Rogue offers fast-paced roguelike action, perfect for players who enjoy challenging runs and high replayability.
Grave Seasons takes the cosy farming sim formula and adds an unexpected twist: a serial killer lurking in town.
Finally, Unrailed 2: Back On Track brings even more chaotic cooperative rail-building fun, this time tailored for Switch 2.
TOEM 2, Inkonbini, Outbound and Ratatan
TOEM 2 continues the beloved monochrome photography adventure that charmed fans of the first game, with new areas to explore and new moments to capture.
Inkonbini: One Store, Many Stories puts you behind the counter of a convenience store, interacting daily with a rotating cast of customers on both Switch and Switch 2.
Outbound offers a cosy virtual camping trip, built for players who want peaceful experiences without forced cooperation or pressure.
Ratatan is aimed squarely at rhythm-game fans and is planned as a Switch 2 exclusive.
One More Thing: Blue Prince
The showcase ended with a genuine āone more thingā surprise. Blue Prince, considered by many one of 2025ās best games, is now available on Switch 2āand you do not have to wait. If you skipped it on other platforms, this is the perfect chance to see what made it so widely praised.
Indie World March 2026 clearly showed that Switch 2 is rapidly building a strong indie catalogue while still supporting the original Switch. From emotional stories and horror experiences to cosy weekend games and intense roguelikes, there is now more variety than ever for Nintendo players looking beyond the big blockbusters.
We should talk more about indie games. I feel like every month there is another hype for AAA title, but I really love to search for hidden gems among independant games. Especially when they are made by a solo developper/little team. From this list, I am really intrigued about Mixtape, wonder how did I not hear about it before!
