Grand Theft Auto VI is now less than three months away from launch, and Rockstar Games has spent the past year steadily filling in the cast that will carry players through Vice City and the wider state of Leonida. Between the original character reveal, two trailers, and the recent Netflix preview event, the studio has confirmed close to a dozen named characters, from the two playable leads down to the side players who will drive the game’s crime, music, and heist storylines.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. Here is a full rundown of every character Rockstar has confirmed so far.
Jason and Lucia, the leads of the story

GTA 6 drops the three character structure of GTA V and returns to a duo built entirely around Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a criminal couple Rockstar itself has compared to a modern Bonnie and Clyde. Lucia is also notable as the first fully voiced female protagonist in a mainline Grand Theft Auto game, after previous entries only ever offered a silent female option.

Lucia Caminos grew up in Liberty City, the setting of GTA III and GTA IV, and was raised the hard way by a father who taught her to fight before she could properly walk. Determined to pull her family out of poverty, she made a mistake that landed her in prison. Now free, she remains fixed on the same goal, a life of wealth and comfort for her family, but she also knows that one more slip could cost her everything.

Jason Duval had a rougher start too. Left largely to fend for himself as a kid, he fell in with dealers and small time criminals before trying to turn his life around through a stint in the Army, which did not pan out the way he hoped. After leaving the service, he settled in the Leonida Keys south of Vice City, where he began working for smuggler Brian Heder. Meeting Lucia could turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to him, or the worst.
Brian Heder and Cal Hampton, Jason’s guys in the Keys

Brian and Cal are described as Jason’s trusted circle in the Keys. Brian Heder is an old school smuggler who came up during the golden age of contraband running in the region. He now fronts a legitimate boat charter business with his third wife, Lori, which conveniently doubles as cover for moving product. Brian has been in the game long enough to delegate the riskier work, and he lets Jason live rent free in one of his properties in exchange for help with his side operations.
A short scene shown during Rockstar’s Netflix preview event added more detail to Brian’s background. In the sequence, Jason and Lucia share drinks with Brian and Lori on a rooftop, and Lori reveals that Brian was quite the charmer in his younger days. The preview also suggests Brian will act as a middleman for some of Jason and Lucia’s jobs, and he appears to take on something of a mentor role for Jason.

Cal Hampton, on the other hand, is happy to stay firmly at the bottom of the ladder. He avoids fieldwork whenever possible, preferring to sit at home monitoring Coast Guard radio chatter with a beer in hand. He is close friends with both Brian and Jason, and one of his favorite pastimes seems to be spreading his own paranoia to everyone around him, convinced the world is run by lunatics.
Cal only appears briefly in the Netflix preview footage, near the very end, but he is given the closing line of the presentation, a reflective monologue about appreciating the good years while they last, a message that many read as Rockstar speaking directly to fans who have waited a long time for this game.
Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest and Real Dimez, the Vice City connections

While the Keys matter, the real center of business is Vice City itself, and making the right contacts there is essential. Boobie Ike is a genuine legend of the city, one of the few people to turn a criminal past into a fully legal empire that includes real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio. He comes across as all smiles until business is on the table, at which point he gets serious fast. His most important partnership is with rising music mogul Dre’Quan Priest through their shared label, Only Raw Records.

Dre’Quan Priest was never much of a gangster at heart. Even while dealing on the streets to get by, his real focus was always breaking into the music business. Over time he built Only Raw Records and signed a red hot act, the rap duo Real Dimez. These days he is trying to move away from the street and away from booking acts into Boobie’s strip club, hoping to build a career purely on the Vice City music scene.
During the Netflix preview, Dre’Quan gets a brief appearance that shows him already close with Jason and Lucia, casual enough to give Lucia the nickname Loony. It suggests he will end up a reliable ally to the two leads as the story unfolds.

Bae-Luxe and Roxy make up Real Dimez. Friends since high school, the two quickly realized there was more money, and less risk, in social media and provocative rap than in street level dealing. After a long grind they landed a breakout hit alongside local rapper DWNPLY, which pushed them into the spotlight. Five years later they signed with Dre’Quan and Only Raw Records, hoping lightning can strike twice for their careers.
Raul Bautista, the heist specialist

No Grand Theft Auto game feels complete without a signature heist, from the Vice City bank job with Phil Cassidy, to the Las Venturas casino score, to the Liberty City bank robbery with Niko Bellic and Packie, right through to the string of heists in GTA V. Raul Bautista looks set to fill that role in GTA 6. He is a veteran bank robber always looking for partners willing to risk everything for a big payout, described by Rockstar as confident, charming, cunning, and fearless, but also principled, someone who believes real experience matters and that a professional always adapts.
The Netflix preview gave Raul a full sequence built around a tense car chase, apparently marking his first meeting with Jason and Lucia. It also revealed that Raul is an old acquaintance of Brian Heder, specifically a former cellmate, and that he once worked for Dominican intelligence services.
San4san, the Haitian gang

The Netflix preview event also introduced the San4san gang directly, through a mission that plays out in their own neighborhood. The Haitian gang appears to be connected to Boobie Ike, and the footage includes a member who was first glimpsed all the way back in the original December 2023 announcement trailer.

One notable San4san figure is Raymond, a character previously seen in earlier screenshots and now given more context. He appears to run a drug production lab for the gang and works alongside an associate named Ernesto, who seems to betray him right around the moment Jason and Lucia arrive at the lab.
Mendez

A hard nosed police officer first glimpsed in the second trailer back in May 2025 resurfaces at the start of the Netflix preview footage. The drug lab mission shown in the preview lines up with the police raid sequence from that earlier trailer, and this officer is now named as Mendez, a detective who appears to be closing in on Jason and Lucia.
Lori Heder

Lori Heder, Brian’s wife, had only been glimpsed briefly and mentioned in passing before the Netflix preview finally gave her a proper introduction. Not much is confirmed about her yet, but she comes across as warm and clearly fond of both Jason and Lucia.
Valentina

A familiar face for longtime fans, Valentina is returning from GTA Online, where she previously appeared as one of Mr Faber’s clients during the Dirty Money and Clean Business update. In GTA 6, she now appears to work for the MegaMundo corporation as an assistant.
Andres de Leon

Andres de Leon is a flamboyant new character introduced in the Netflix preview. He appears to be a collaborator of Jason and Lucia, someone the pair will need to protect. Little else is known about him beyond his ties to MegaMundo and the fact that unknown men are actively hunting him down.
Petra Navarro

Also introduced during the Netflix preview, Petra Navarro is the chief operating officer of MegaMundo and Andres de Leon’s partner. She seems to be growing increasingly tired of her partner’s behavior and choices as the story progresses.
More characters are still to come
Rockstar has made clear that this list is far from final, and additional characters, both iconic and eccentric, are expected to be revealed as GTA 6 approaches its November 19, 2026 release date on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S. Given the scale of Vice City and Leonida, the full cast list is likely to keep growing right up until launch.
I’m passionate about books and video games. These two great passions represent, for me, a boundless universe where I can “escape” from reality whenever I need or want to. There are so many stories, worlds, and landscapes where I can instantly teleport that I don’t think a whole lifetime would be enough to explore them all (though it would be my greatest dream to be able to).
